These terms govern your use of this site, totorex.ai, including Toto-Rex's Study Corner, the UK & EU, US & Canada, Asia and Global editions, the Glossary and the Classroom. By using the site, you accept them. If you don't, that's allowed too; please don't use the site.

1. Who we are

The site is operated by Maqutt Studio Ltd (company no. 17154771), 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. Contact: hello@maqutt.studio.

2. Educational purpose only

The dictionary, the briefing, the courses, the summaries and everything else are provided to help you learn. They are general information, may be simplified, and may not reflect the very latest position. They are not a substitute for advice on your specific circumstances. We are not your lawyers, and reading the site does not make us so.

To be precise about who is publishing: Maqutt Studio Ltd is a publisher and educational studio. It is not a law firm, it is not authorised or regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and it does not carry on reserved legal activities or provide legal services to readers. Nothing on the site is covered by professional indemnity insurance for your benefit, and no duty of care to you arises from reading it.

3. How this site is written, including its use of AI

You are reading a site about AI governance, so you are entitled to know how it is made. AI tools are used throughout: for research support, for drafting and rewriting prose, for building and checking the interactive learning material, and for translation. Three rules govern what is published, and they are the standard the site asks of everyone else.

• Every legal claim links to its primary source. Check that source before relying on anything here; the linked original prevails over our summary of it.
• Each dated surface says when it was last updated, and the law may have moved since.
• Translations are labelled. English is the controlling text. Traditional and Simplified Chinese are published across the site. French, Spanish, Russian and Arabic are published through the Global edition, where the interface, the dossiers and their in-depth analyses, the essays and the data desks are translated. The regional editions send readers of those four languages to the Global edition rather than show them an English page under a foreign-language label. Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Portuguese, Welsh, Scottish Gaelic, Irish and Scots are machine translations of every page, made with Claude (Anthropic) and checked by automated tests for completeness, numbers and structure. No translation on the site is certified, and every machine-translated page says so at the top.

None of that makes the site error-free. It makes the errors findable, which is the most any publisher can honestly offer.

4. Accuracy, corrections and external links

We take care to summarise credible, verifiable sources accurately and to link to the originals. Even so, we cannot guarantee that everything is complete, current or error-free, and the law changes. Where we link to another website (a regulator, a law firm, a journal, a podcast), we are not responsible for its content or availability. Always check the primary source before relying on anything.

If you think something here is wrong, tell us at hello@maqutt.studio. We would rather be corrected than quoted. Substantive corrections are made on the page and noted with the date of the change.

5. Intellectual property

The original writing, design, illustrations and the Toto-Rex character on this site belong to Maqutt Studio Ltd or are used with permission. "Toto-Rex" is an unregistered trade mark of Maqutt Studio Ltd, with a UK application pending. You may read the pages, link to them, and quote short passages with attribution to Toto-Rex's Study Corner and a link. Please don't reproduce whole pages, republish the material, sell it, or use it to train a model, without our written permission. Names, logos and materials of third parties remain theirs.

6. Acceptable use

• Don't use the site unlawfully, or in a way that damages it or interferes with others' use of it.
• Don't attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems.
• Don't submit anything through our forms that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes someone else's rights.

7. The newsletter

Sign-up is not yet open: the newsletter, book-notification and app-waitlist pages show a ‘coming soon’ note instead of a form, and collect nothing. When sign-up opens, each sign-up goes to a private list held for us by Google LLC, as described in our privacy notice. Once the newsletter launches, subscribing means we will send it to the email address you give us, roughly monthly, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any issue.

8. No affiliate arrangements

Toto-Rex is not paid to feature any course, tool, article, event or podcast, and there are no affiliate links on this site. Where a course, tool or event is recommended, that is Maqutt Studio's editorial opinion, offered in good faith and without guarantee.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud), and nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one on this page, with the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, nothing here removes your right to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live, or to rely on the mandatory consumer protections of that country, where its law gives you that right.
