The library behind the notes
AI Compliance Library · version 6.1.1 · research cut-off 13 July 2026
Every note, dossier and checklist on this site is drawn from a structured research library of 187 British-English control documents on AI law and compliance. This page explains what is in the control edition, how to read its depth labels and why the separate non-English library editions are not currently available. The library version is not re-cut every time the website changes: pages published after the cut-off date carry their own last-updated date, and the September 2026 update of the EU timeline is recorded on those pages, not here.

Read the depth labels honestly
Not every document is the same kind of thing. The library uses three visibly different depths, and so should anyone republishing it:
Instrument status is never flattened: legal force, enactment status, effective-from, source date and official language are separate facts. "No AI law" is never shown as "unregulated": the binding privacy, consumer, discrimination, employment, product and sector baseline still applies.
Language
The library has one edition, in British English (en-GB). Earlier machine-translated editions were withdrawn because automated checks could not confirm their legal accuracy, and none is published. The translated pages elsewhere on this website are separate: each says how its translation was made, and the English text prevails.
Availability
No archive or download of the library is offered from this page.
Public-suitable content includes the explanatory summaries, case-study lessons, the standards map, general checklists and public notices. Completed impact assessments, system inventories, threat models, vendor reports, audit findings, incident records and personal data should stay access-controlled: do not publish them.
Provenance & evidence
- The research method, primary-source register and regulatory update watchlist belong with the controlled source library; they are not represented here as a downloadable public pack.
